Or so says our fridge. It doesn’t make much sense, but it continues in the Dead theme for my post titles.
Last weekend I went back to Alvin for Wings Over Houston. Some of you may remember my pictures from last year; this time I didn’t take nearly as many decent pictures, but a few did come out in an interesting way.
The major deterrent to taking pictures was the rain – for most of the morning, the sky dripped. Occasionally the heavens would open and all the people would run for the nearest shelter. Usually it was an airplane.
Eventually it stopped raining, but airfields being what they are, the drainage sucked. The standing water occasionally made perfect reflections of the airplanes.
Most of the sights and displays were the same as they were last year, so even if the weather did permit, I couldn’t get much new. Just check out last year’s again. One new thing, though, was in the cockpit of one of the planes… surely I’d have noticed this last year.
And that’s all I have from the airshow. While I was away, one of the apartmentmates put up a few Halloween decorations. Her mom found a box of the most hideously cutesy smiling pumpkins and friendly skeletons and… I can’t even say anything about this next thing.
Amazingly enough… knitting content! I’m right at halfway through the yarn for the heartses shawl. I’m definitely not going to use all five balls at this rate – the shawl is already about 26″ deep/ over 50″ across.
And back to the books I go… wonder how long before the blogosphere gives up on me.
