Feel free to flog me with flaccid fettuccine. After last post’s pontificating about not needing to be confined to this corporeal form… I mean, written patterns, I had to whip out two quick gifts. So what are my unfortunate friends receiving?

You knew it was coming… Hallowig #7.

Why the Christmas colours? The recipient sent me a couple of skeins of Red Heart for Christmas. You see the colours- it screamed “Holiday Hallowig” when I opened the box. I’ve known her online for over three years; how could she expect anything less in return? Still need to write a note telling the tale of Hallowig #1 and Brotherling’s yoinking of it….

The other is a late birthday gift - Pasha #4 will soon be headed to New York. Yes, I used white pom-poms for eyes. What of it?
Somehow, I ran out of yarn on the second wing. How it is that I have no more black acrylic, I have no idea. The note with this bird? Cue up Frank Zappa’s “Dancing Fool” and sing it with me….

… um, yeah. I tried to sew the wings on with the same shiny stuff as at the bottom of the Hallowig; remind me never to do that again. At least I know the recipient will love the penguin.

Where does one find a pattern for a mystery shawl, Donna asks. Hmm. It’s a mystery. Usually they’re uncovered in the dank recesses of my mind and are thankfully not available elsewhere. If they were, it would mean that an equivalent to my peculiar mind exists an the world would implode in a fit of oddiddiddity.

In the “food says What???” department… faithful disciples may recall the grammatical error on a tub of ice cream back in October. The upcoming package is not wrong… it’s just amusing.
